Underpinning

What We Do

If you are converting or refurbishing a property, or want to add a basement or additional storey, it’s important to start with good, solid foundations. Underpinning is the process of strengthening or stabilising the foundations of an existing building, typically used in properties which have been affected by flooding or subsidence, or where a new structure or floor must be accommodated.

We excavate the soil beneath the property and replace it with stronger materials and deeper footings beneath the foundation, which are placed into firmer ground for stability.

If you think your property could have weak foundations requiring structural repair, we’re here to help. Suitable for all types of buildings from domestic residences to commercial properties, we offer multiple methods of underpinning to suit your needs.

  • Reinforced concrete ground beams
  • Reinforced concrete rafts
  • Mass concrete underpinning
